This 261 sq. foot small residential addition, created a new Master Bathroom suite for the existing Master Bedroom, created a new laundry room and encorporated the existing laundry room into a new Mud Room /Entry. The Renovaions included a closet that was relocated in Bedroom 1 and a Water Heater was relocated to enlarge and allow for a more efficient layout in Bathroom #1.

The Mitchell Residence was originally designed by Hannah McNeill through prior employment with Criterion Architecture.  After Hannah came on board with Key Architecture, the Mitchell’s wanted to design a pool and pool house to match the design of the home.  The pool house contains an outdoor kitchen and sitting area with a garage below.

Several sites were assessed and preliminary needs developed under initial programming phase. Ultimately the team assisted Clients and their consultants in acquisition and approval of lot for the intended use.

Construction documentation completed December 2009. Construction began February 2010 and Construction Administration services are currently being provided.

    East Fayetteville residence consisting of two stories with 6,708 heated sf and 1,412 sf bonus space serving as storm shelter.  The building construction type is ICF exterior walls and wood-frame interior walls.  We are currently working with the General Contractor, Lee Scarlett with Celtic Construction, and with the suppliers and subcontractors in coordinating the changes and the owner’s intent of design.

    16,000 sf adaptive reuse of an existing building.  The circa 1950’s building evolved through numerous expansions and improvements in it’s past 50 year life with many of the building’s original architectural features obscured or altered.  These include a wood framed barrel vaulted ceiling structure and a tall glass façade with arched roof form at the primary entry facade.  The total reconstruction and renovation for the skating rink exposes and restores these features back to their original form as well as renewing all systems and structure to insure a long second life in the years ahead.

    The renovations also include the installation of a new energy saving reflective membrane roofing system, new energy efficient mechanical systems, and an air circulation system to reduce the heating and cooling costs.  The skating rink includes a 10,000 sf hard wood maple skating surface and a state of the art sound and lighting system.
